Our Vision

To improve patient/family outcomes and the experience of those living with cancer by fostering excellence in clinical nursing research.

Share our Focus in Research

  • Oncology nursing research ranges from descriptive research to intervention testing to implementation of research findings into practice.
  • Oncology nursing research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is embedded within an interprofessional focus on psychosocial and supportive care research across the cancer continuum.
  • Oncology nursing research occurs in collaboration with interdisciplinary research team members.

Witness Our Goals

  • Advance the development of cancer research and supporting senior and junior nurse scientists in the conduct of rigorous, externally funded cancer nursing research.
  • Build capacity in clinical cancer nursing research by supporting the development of advanced nurse researchers (Masters level or completing a Masters) to conduct rigorous practice-based research.
  • Improve patient-family outcomes through the integration of research into clinical nursing practice using knowledge translation methodology and evaluation research.
